ROMANTIC CRUISES & DINNERS ON STARDUST

Stardust is a unique sailing boat built in the style of an 18th Century gentleman's sailing yacht – a gaff rigged, topmasted schooner. With brass and varnish, a distinctive wine-glass stern and seven sails, Stardust stands out as a stylish and romantic alternative to today’s modern yachts.

Wide sweeping decks and plenty of canopy shade makes her ideal for sailing in the tropics. Stardust offers modular ‘join along’ cruises where you can join to enjoy a segment (day 1, dinner 1, overnight, day 2, or dinner 2) or any combination of segments.

Stardust features twin swim platforms, freshwater deck showers and roomy changing and toilet facilities with a permanent crew of 4. Guests can relax on deck to enjoy the ever changing view or help the crew setting sails and take turns at the wheel.

Stardust operates a freeflow bar with no charge refreshments, beer & wine available at all times. A highlight is the dragnet which is fitted alongside while traveling for guests to enjoy a saltwater Jacuzzi experience.

The itineraries are varied and include an excellent variety of nature experiences, places of great natural beauty, deserted island beaches and entertainment (see details below).

Join-In trips are an affordable way for the average person to enjoy the benefits of private charter as the cost is shared amongst more guests. Whether you join-in just for dinner or a daytrip or stay with Stardust for a two-day cycle, join-in keeps the cost low.

STARDUST DAY CRUISE ITINERARY - DAY 1

9.00 a.m - 9.40 a.m
Hotel pickup to Kilim River Mangrove Jetty then by speedboat through the mangrove forests to Stardust. Sea otters, monkeys, monitor lizards, spectacled langurs and kingfishers are often seen here. We pause to watch dozens of brahminy kites (sea eagles) feed on fish in the river.
10.30 a.m
Board Stardust for a welcome drink and familiarization & safety talk by the captain while sailing through ‘Hole in the Wall’, a spectacularly beautiful area used in major motion pictures.
11.00 a.m - noon
Stop to visit the Hidden Lagoon by Stardust dinghy or sea kayak, a lagoon hidden in an island and place of great natural beauty. Till noon enjoy a beer or soft drink while dragnetting alongside Stardust.
12 noon - 12.30 p.m
Fishing half hour - see who catches the most fish.
12.30 p.m
Our 15 course buffet lunch is served.
Afternoon
Relax aboard or help us to sail Stardust - take your turn at the wheel!
5.00 p.m
Return to Kuah jetty for those leaving Stardust.

STARDUST ROMANTIC DINNER CRUISE ITINERARY

Pickup from hotels for guests joining Stardust for dinner.
 
Enjoy drinks and sunset snacks while we sail through Langkawi’s tropical islands and enjoy the often spectacular sunset. Dinner comprises fresh sea bass, mackerel or other fish grilled on our back deck BBQ accompanied by grilled steaks and a host of salads and side dishes.

STARDUST BY STARLIGHT - OVERNIGHT ITINERARY

Overnight guests say goodbye to those departing and the party continues under the stars. Your choice of sleeping in Stardust cabins or under the stars on deck. The joy of being on water enjoying night sounds from jungle birds and animals on the verdant surrounding tropical islands is an unforgettable experience.
8.30 a.m
Breakfast of pastries, yoghurts and fresh fruit is served and guests have plenty of time to freshen up with a swim and shower before day passengers arrive and activities commence.

STARDUST DAY CRUISE ITINERARY - DAY 2

Hotel pickup to Kuah Jetty.
10.00 a.m
Board Stardust for a welcome drink and familiarization & safety talk by the captain. Enjoy a beer or soft drink while dragnetting alongside Stardust as we sail for Timun island.
11.30 a.m
Arrive at our lunchtime anchorage. Explore this deserted bay by sea kayak and inlets of 2 nearby islands in the ships dinghy. We offer an optional short jungle trek with the Captain and crew with a visit to a limestome cave.
12.30 a.m
Lunch is a 15 course buffet often including pasta, sun dried tomato, pizza pepperoni, chicken kebabs, caesar salad, cibatta bread with humous and tortilla wraps with cream cheese and smoked salmon.
 
After lunch we raise anchor and guests help set the sails and steer us to Dead Chinaman’s Cave, an underground river that ends in a mangrove swamp. You can explore the cave, relax aboard with a good book or fishing rod, or explore the area by sea kayak.
3.30 p.m
Stardust sails for the Kilim River Mangrove Park. Guests can kayak or take the ship’s dinghy to a fish farm we feed sting rays and meet pre-jurassic horseshoe crabs.
5.00 p.m
Returning guests depart for the Kilim River jetty while other guests relax and swim before dinner.
