SETTING

Nestled between a private beach and 19 acres of a million year old virgin tropical rainforest, the Mutiara Burau Beach Resort is located between the scenic Burau Bay and Pantai Kok and the foothills of Mount Mat Cincang. Only 15 minutes from Langkawi airport and 40 minutes from Kuah Jetty, the saying fun in the sun takes on a new meaning.

While it is impossible to build a resort and not make some impact upon the environment, every effort has been made to create a resort that blends harmoniously into its natural setting. All plants and animals on the property are protected and many species can be found in the forests, adjoining mangroves and along the beachfront. Monkeys live in the trees, the flying colugo makes it home here and hornbills soar overhead.

The grassy areas of the resort are the best location in the world to see the rainbow lizard! Guests are encouraged to discover and learn from nature while at the resort and our staff are pleased to help guests “open their eyes” to the many natural assets of Burau Bay.

FACILITIES

Being located next to the cable car, Langkawi’s newest attraction, tourists can enjoy the panoramic view of Langkawi Island in just 30 minutes. Free transfer to Kuah Town is offered once a day and for children a playground and bicycle rent are provided. For conventions and meetings two conference rooms, which can be opened into one, are available.

ROOM TYPES

The GEOPARK INN offers a choice of 27 air-conditioned standard rooms and three Suites with king size beds. All the rooms are fitted with all contemporary facilities for total comfort and guests have the choice between hill-view and lake-view.

STANDARD

The standard rooms offer a choice of hill or sea-facing views. They are fitted with queen- or twin size beds and the bathroom includes a bathtub with shower head and shower curtain. Each room has air conditioner.

SUITE

The Oriental Suite is one large room divided by a TV-cabinet with a big screen TV. The bedroom is fitted with a king-size bed and the living room has comfortable, light coloured wooden furniture. The Suite has a small balcony facing the Japanese designed lake.

Japanese Restaurant, enjoy superb Japanese dishes in a tranquil Japanese-styled setting. Open for lunch from 12.00 noon to 3.00 pm and dinner from 5.00 pm to 10.00 pm. Operated by Berjaya Beach & Spa Resort

ORIENTAL BISTRO & RESTAURANT

Enjoy variety of ala carte western & local food. Dining while serenade by in-house band with various repertoire. Enjoy the Karaoke room with the latest sound system & equipment.

Open for breakfast from 7.00am to 11.00am, lunch from 11.00am to 3.00pm and dinner from 6.00pm to 12.00 midnight.

KRATHONG (Thai Restaurant)

Authentic Thai cuisine. Enjoy a sumptuous meal within the ambience of unique Thai architecture. Open for lunch from 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm and dinner from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm.

DOLCE VITA CAFE

Serves snack and western delicacies in the ambience of oldies and evergreen music. Located adjacent to Atma Alam Art Gallery. Open from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm

FOOD COURT

Serves variety of local food and drinks. Open from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm
