SETTING

Fours Seasons Langkawi is the perfect destination for tourists and honeymooners which appreciates the idyllic natural environment of million-year-old virgin tropical rainforests and mountains as well as the calm Andaman Sea. Situated in the north eastern tip of the Malaysian Island of Langkawi, in the Tanjung Rhu cape, it is the perfect hideaway for relaxing and dwelling.

The secluded, yet spacious resort is designed to take best advantage of the islands pure white beaches, lush vegetation and clear waters. The combined elements of Asian, Indian and Arabic influence reverberate the islands melting pot pedigree and create a uniquely Malaysian milieu.

The moment guests enter the Resort, they are welcomed into the enchanting world of a fairy tale. Moghul-inspired niches framed with meandering pathways strewn with fire pots, Moorish arches and tile work, as well as secret gardens and pathways let the whole place appear a luxurious tropical paradise.

The traditional architecture combined with the modern technologies make it the ultimate holiday destination with maximum comfort. All of the 91 generously sized guest pavilions and villas are very large and airy and the spaciousness of the villas is enhanced by sliding glass-doors, giving way to covered verandas in the villas and full outdoor terraces in the pavilions. From furniture to wall decorations the rooms are accentuated with Malaysian objects of art, handmade batiks of muted earth tones, and Arabesque elements.

Four exquisite Restaurants, all of them designed in different unique décor and architecture, serving specialties from Western, Japanese and Asian favorites take care of the guest’s physical well-being. Room service offers a range of interesting menus from light bites to international and Asian favorites.

The Resort also offers extensive opportunities for sports, recreation and cultural activities while the spa is the unique oasis for relaxing, rejuvenating and regeneration.

FACILITIES

Two magnificently styled freshwater pools, and a tennis court, a state-of-the-art gym as well as several water-sports facilities including sailing, windsurfing and kayaking are widely used by the sport loving guest.

Located next to the Kafe Kelapa, in the northern part of the Resort, the family pool overlooks the beach and the Andaman Sea. It is uniquely designed with many small coves that allow for privacy. Guests are provided with amenities including suntan lotion and iced water. Cool towels, freshly sliced tropical fruit and water spray are offered every hour. The poolside café also serves refreshments and light meals.

The Fitness Centre at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi is designed to provide physical challenges while achieving total mind and body rejuvenation. Tone up muscles in a weight-training room overlooking the Langkawi jungle, or test your physical limits with the wide range of state-of-the-art cardiovascular equipment including treadmills and stationary bikes with individual televisions. Guests 18 years and older are welcome to use facilities in the Fitness Centre.

ROOM TYPES

Four Seasons Resort is reminiscent of a traditional Malay village. Spaciousness is enhanced by big windows and sliding doors and the large airy rooms give way to covered veranda's. They are dressed with king size day beds and accented with handmade batiks of muted earth-tones, Malaysian artefacts and Arabesque details give the interior the architectural finish.

MELALEUCA PAVILION

These pavilions are arranged in two storeys with accommodations on upper and beach level. Measuring 68 square metres the interior is accentuated with rich tropical woods and heavy Spanish marble. The ground level units are entered through a patio while the top unit is accessed by a Malay staircase.Upper level pavilions have high ceilings and a spacious veranda with a large day bed and dining area while the lower level pavilions come with the option of secluded outdoor bath and shower.

These free standing beach villas, measuring 220 square metres are designed to complement the natural surroundings of lush greenery. Its own gated entrance leads to a private and reflecting pond as well as a private plunge pool. The patio contains a dining table for four and an oversized daybed. The villas are equipped with walk-in closet, an own private spa room with treatment beds and a luxurious bathroom as well as the option of outdoor shower.

The presidential villa is a magnificent two-bedroom residence, measuring 1400 square metres. It is located on the secluded end of the resort's beach. SPA & MASSAGE

Four Seasons Resort Langkawi redefines the spa experience - providing total escapism that paradoxically arises from deep within the self. Honouring ancient Eastern traditions, while celebrating modern Western sophistication.

Six spa pavilions set against a backdrop of limestone granite seem to float amongst lotus ponds. Each features a handcrafted roof and dècor exquisitely accented with rich tropical woods, reflecting an Asian design philosophy blended with rich Middle Eastern influences. Couples can enjoy a private outdoor shower or a bath indoor in a celadon soaking tub. The pavilions are secluded to provide guests with utmost peace and tranquility. In a separate pavilion, guests may practice yoga and meditation.

Four Seasons nurturing and personal care will help you renew in soothing tranquility. Spa services are exclusively available to Resort guests 18 years and older.

In addition, each of the Resort's one-bedroom Beach Villas, as well as the Presidential Villa, features a private spa room complete with two spa treatment beds, where guests can enjoy our four signature massages: Urut Melayu, Asian Fusion, Synchronised Massage or Reflexology, in total privacy.

WINING & DINING

SERAI

Serai, which means "lemongrass" in Malay, offers innovative contemporary Euro-Asian cuisine using western culinary techniques to create exotic dishes with distinctive Asian flavours. The design perfectly complements the beautiful backdrop of lush greenery and the emerald waters of the Andaman Sea. The buffet and breakfast area is an open-air pavilion that seats up to 48 guests. A staircase leads to a separate area where dinner is served. It features a 24-seat indoor dining room and an adjacent patio for outdoor dining for 60 guests.

IKAN-IKAN

Set in the style of a "limas", the traditional Malaysian residence, Ikan-Ikan exudes an enviable charm. Meaning "fish" in Malay, Ikan-Ikan has a fish-scale-tiled roof. Its teak wood deck offers spectacular ocean views unrivalled in Asia.

Ikan-Ikan is divided into four main seating areas, each offering spectacular views of the Andaman Sea. The largest is an 50-seat open-air teak deck with a two-storey Malay terra cotta roof. Steps down from this is a palm-shaded cocktail and lounging area offering a full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Two pavilions, one on each side of Ikan-Ikan, accommodate a bar with cocktail seating for 18 on one side, and a private dining room for 16 on the other.

KAFE KELAPA

Set amongst natural surroundings within sound of the sea, the poolside Kafe Kelapa features a full-service bar offering a wide range of tropical and international cocktails. A favourite drink is the famed young coconut iced water known locally as "kelapa". Guests savour unobstructed views along with their drinks and food. The traditional thatched roof - and a coconut chandelier -complete the tropical ambience. Seats 46.

Western cuisine is featured, with an appealing range of appetisers and main courses including sandwiches, salads, and pizzas made in a wood-burning oven. Grilled seafood and meats are a specialty, and Asian stir-fries provide a taste of the local cuisine.

If your arrival is early in the day and you prefer immediate access to your room, we recommend reserving for the prior night to guarantee immediate access. Similarly, for late departures, reserving an additional night will guarantee access until you leave the Hotel. If you choose not to reserve, we will be glad to store your bags and make our fitness facilities available for you to freshen up.

FAMILY PLAN

Four Seasons makes no additional charge for children under twelve years old occupying the same guest room with parents or guardians (space permitting). Age limits for children occupying parents' or guardians' guest rooms at no additional charge may vary at some properties.
