SETTING

Located on the South-Western coast of Langkawi, Casa del Mar is merely a 10-minute ride from Langkawi International Airport and within close proximity to Kuah Town. The resort sits on Pantai Cenang Beach, the most popular entertainment area in Langkawi with a wide selection of restaurants and pubs nearby.

All Casa del Mar guests are offered transfers to and from the airport in air-conditioned comfort. If arriving at the ferry terminal there are plenty of taxis available.

FACILITIES

Cold water and watermelon is served all day for free at the sun-kissed free-form swimming pool. The small fitness centre is open for the more active guest while the spa offers treatment to relax mind and body. The lobby provides High-speed WLAN-access and a Computer with Internet connection which is free for guests to use for the first 30 minutes.

ROOM TYPES

All of the 34 rooms face the sea, have a private terrace or balcony and the floor to ceiling sliding picture windows provide unhindered vistas of Cenang Beach. All the rooms offer the choice of air-conditioning or ceiling fans. The Furniture are a combination of Malay and Spanish style, it includes a writing desk, armchair and TV-cabinet.

DELUXE ROOMS

The 33 square metres big Deluxe rooms are on the ground floor and furnished with king, twin or Hollywood twin beds. All twin rooms can be interconnected with king rooms. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, shower and toilet as well as spa therapy amenities. The private terrace is furnished with two chairs and a small table.

JUNIOR SUITE

On 60 square metres, the Junior Suite is equipped with two balconies of which one is furnished with chairs and a table. The bedroom features a four poster canopy king bed and the living area is furnished with a rattan sofa and chaise lounge. Both rooms have a TV-set and the large bathroom features a double vanity, bathtub and shower. Junior suites interconnect with Deluxe Suites.

DELUXE SUITE

On 70 square metres the Deluxe Suite consists of two rooms. The bedroom features a four-poster bed at the far end of the room, a dressing area including dressing table and sofa as well as a TV-set. The living room is furnished with sofa, tea table, chairs and TV. A lavishly large bathroom includes a double vanity, bathtub and shower. Deluxe-suites interconnect with Junior-suites.

FOR THE EXPECTANT MOM

Prenatal massage treatments are wonderful ways to relax and prepare for childbirth. Treatment will decrease physical and emotional stress during pregnancy. This package is specially created to take care of the mother-to-be. It reduces stress and tension of the expectant mother. Creams will be used for massage in place of aromatic oils. Mother must be in good health condition and pregnancy must be past the fourth month.

WINING & DINING

The restaurant next to the sun-kissed pool provides a breakfast buffet with home made bread and rolls. Local dishes and traditional western cuisine is served throughout the day, even on the sun-bed next to the pool. Casa del Mar serves moonlit dinners of contemporary Mediterranean cuisine lightly spiced with flavours of the region. The wine cellar offers a list of a hundred wines from around the world to complement romantic candle lit beach dinners.

THE DINING ROOM

SUN KISSED PATIO BREAKFAST
Local classic dishes sit alongside the western traditional eggs on toast on the breakfast menu at Casa del Mar. Freshly squeezed orange juice, home baked pastries and just-brewed coffee served with a view of fishing boats gliding home (Langkawi’s only rush hour) past Rebak Island laden with the morning catch, quite likely to be tonight’s dinner.

LAZY DECK CHAIR LUNCHES
Lunch in Langkawi, lingers somewhere between the last coffee at breakfast and when the dinner menu is presented. Light crisp salads, overstuffed sandwiches, and a crisp chilled sauvignon blanc are offered to fortify energies for the afternoon activity of lying back and thinking of when you should take the next cooling dip in the pool.

POOL BAR SUNSETS
Sunsets always look better when reinforced with a salt encrusted Margarita or a tangy punch of fresh tropical fruit. When the day’s business of shell collecting, island hopping or shop browsing is done, this is the place to savour the memory and welcome the evening.

MOONLIT BEACHSIDE DINNERS
A special in many hotels, beachside moonlit dinners come as a standard feature at Casa del Mar.
